Cookie Policy

Disclaimer

This policy is neither a contract, nor does create any legal rights or obligations. This Cookie Policy is rather intended to provide you with clear and relevant information about the cookies we use and the purposes for using those cookies.
By continuing to use our website, you are agreeing that we can place cookies on your computer or mobile device for the purposes described in this Policy. So please read this Cookie Policy carefully.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your web browser when you visit a website, so that the website can remember who you are. Cookies allow us to recognize your preferences and facilitate effective website administration. Cookies remember website configuration (e.g. language preferences), login details, and products added to the shopping cart, even after a user leaves the site, but because cookie files are widely used to collect certain pieces of information, they can also be used to carry out advertising processes like behavioral profiling and retargeting.

Types of cookies

Cookies can be categorized in to 3 major types:
i)- First- and third-party cookies: Both types of cookies are bits of information that collect web-user data. Both are typically used to store user data such as surfing and personalization preferences and tracking information.
First-party cookie is placed on a website by the publisher/owner of the site, and collects user data for the publisher/owner. They are often used to improve user experience (UX) by remembering user preferences and settings. Items added to online retail shopping carts, usernames, passwords and language preferences are information that first-party cookies store. They also can be used by a site owner to provide services -- live chats are one example of this.
Third-party cookies also may be referred to as trackers. Third-party cookies are placed so that a site can remember something about the user at a later time. Third-party cookies, however, are often set by advertising networks that a site may subscribe to in the hopes of driving up sales or page hits. For example, a user visits www.xyz.com. Cookies placed on this domain by www.xyz.com are first-party cookies. A cookie placed by any other site, such as an advertiser or social media site, is a third-party cookie.
ii)- Persistent cookies: These cookies remain on a user's device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time the user visits the website that created the particular cookie.
iii)- Session cookies: These cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A session starts when a user opens the browser and ends when they close the browser. Session cookies are temporary, so all session cookies are deleted when the user closes the browser.

Purpose of cookies

The cookies are used on the website for these purposes:

i)- Strictly Necessary: These cookies let you navigate through the website and use essential features like secure areas (e.g., payment activity) and shopping baskets. Without these cookies, services you request cannot be provided.

ii)- Performance: Such cookies collect information about how you use our website (e.g., which pages you visit and if you experience any errors). These cookies do not contain any information that could identify you and are only used to help us improve and maintain our website, understand the interests of our users and measure the effectiveness of our advertising.

iii)- Functionality: These cookies are used to provide services or remember settings that can improve your visit. Without these cookies, our website cannot remember certain choices you've previously made or personalize your browsing experience by providing you with relevant information. These cookies can also be used to recognize your device so that you do not have to provide the same information more than once. In addition to these cookies, Web storage may also be used to provide such services.

iv)- Targeting: Targeting cookies are used by third parties. These cookies allow third parties to recognize that you have visited our website. We, and our third party service providers, also may combine information obtained from these cookies with personal information available from other sources, including data collected about you when you are using other websites and data collected about you offline, whether on our site or data that the third party maintains.

v)- Analytics: This Site uses Google Analytics, a Web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google uses cookies to help the website analyze how users use the Site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. On behalf of the Site provider, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Site, compiling reports on Site activity for Site operators and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage to the website provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of these cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser as discussed in this Policy. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this Site. Furthermore, you can prevent Google’s collection and use of data (cookies and IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB. For more information about cookies used by Google Analytics, please read Google's Privacy Policy.

How to block cookies?

If you do not want your information to be collected through cookies, you can change the setting on your Internet browser. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including Strictly Necessary cookies), you may not be able to access all or parts of our website. Our website places cookies as soon you visit our website. Turning off or deleting cookies will not prevent device identification and related data collection from occurring. This can only be done by changing your browser setting.
